Live-bait trolling: Consists of slow trolling live baits around local reefs and wrecks to entice almost everything that swims. Kingfish, Cobia, Barracuda, Sharks and the occasional giant Wahoo are suckers for this method. Feel the burning run of a smoker king on 20# tackle. This takes place anywhere from the beach to twenty-five miles out.
Bottom fishing and wreck hopping: Two popular methods. They are often integrated into our other trips to various degrees. Grouper, Snapper, Sea Bass and Cobia are common targets on the bottom as well as many other species.
Sight fishing: For Cobia is a seasonal spring and fall activity. Entice a large Cobia with a jig on spinning tackle and watch them eat it on the surface. This is one of my personal favorites. Also casting tubes lures to HUGE Barracuda at boatside! Nothing like a 4 ft. cuda on 15lb. spinning tackle!
Inshore coastal fishing: In and around Mayport and the intra-coastal waterway is a great day of fishing without the rigors of offshore fishing.
Use light tackle to catch a wide variety of fish such as Redfish, Flounder, weakfish, sheepshead, black drum, whiting, jacks, bluefish, Spanish mackerel and many more.

A great time for young anglers to learn some of the basics. Trip includes a little fishing, dolphin watching and general all around fun!
Note: Parent will not be fishing. This is for kids only.
Not only will you have a great time fishing aboard the StrikeZone, but you will learn some tricks of the trade as well. All tackle; bait and licenses are included as well as fish cleaning service back at the dock. I will leave no stone unturned in the quest for your fish.
Payments and Cancellation
- $100.00 deposit to reserve a date.
- Any charter cancelled will have the deposit applied to a future charter.
- Any no-shows on the morning of the charter or cancellations within 48 hours will be billed the full amount on thier credit card due to a lost fishing day.
- If I cancel due to weather or mechancial problems, your deposit will be applied to a rescheduled date.
- Final payments must be cash or credit cards. sorry no checks.
- Payment in full is requested before departure if using a credit card.
- I will always try to fish for the fully scheduled trip .
- We may however have to return to port early if weather conditions become unsafe. This is beyond my control, but very important for your SAFETY.
